About MTI鈥檚 Welding Programs
MTI offers two welding training options: the 7-month welding program and 10-month welding and pipefitting program. Both programs are offered at all of MTI鈥檚 campus locations in Missouri and Illinois.
- Nationally-accredited by the ACCSC (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges)

7-month Welding Program
- Campus: Available at all MTI campuses
- Length: 7 months (30 weeks); 720 clock hours / 180 additional outside clock hours
- Class Schedule: Daytime & evening classes available
- Welding Techniques: SMAW, GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, FCAW (Flux Core)
- Pipefitting Techniques: Basic Fitting Principles
- Financial Aid: Available to all qualified students
- Job Placement Assistance: Available to all qualified graduates
10-month Welding & Pipefitting Program
- Campus: Available at all MTI campuses
- Length: 10 months (40 weeks); 960 clock hours / 240 additional outside clock hours
- Class Schedule: Daytime & evening classes available
- Welding Techniques: SMAW, GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, FCAW (Flux Core)
- Pipefitting Techniques: Basic Fitting Principles plus 10 additional weeks of Basic and Advanced Pipe Fitting training

MTI offers a 10-week continuing education Pipefitting Course to provide you with the fundamental principles of entry-level pipe fitting and qualify you to gain entry-level employment as a pipefitter/steamfitter.
